As we live in the age of social media, everything is online and shared amongst everyone by a click of a button. We have an application for anything and everything when it comes to what we are able to do with our technical devices. On the creative side, many people gravitate toward social platforms such as Youtube and Instagram. With both applications released in the early 2000s, they have made their mark in the current world of digital media.

Growth starts at the root Looking at glance,  Youtube and Instagram are doing massively well as they are listed on Top Risers brands from the 2024 Best Global Brands. Instagram sits at 15 and Youtube sits at 4⁠— this only means their success has remained consistent for years. As of late, Youtube has been fueled by Youtube Shorts and it is in competition with TikTok, another social media platform, that thrives on quick short form content. Nonetheless, the site is known for its staple long form content. They have expanded creator monetization tools on the platform so it is easier for creators to be financially rewarded for their content. On the other hand, Instagram is strictly viewed as a social media platform, however can still be utilized in various ways. Like Youtube, the platform has made changes to the ecommerce tools, algorithm improvements and driving higher ad revenues for influencers. One of the best leads that Instagram is embedded with is the cross platform synergy amongst other Meta platforms like Facebook. Consistency is Key Trends always fluctuate and it is important to stay relevant. One of the main reasons as to why both of these platforms have stayed in the spotlight is because they value the importance of branding. What makes Youtube, Youtube? What makes Instagram, Instagram? Both platforms are different but still share the same core value of delivering content as a creator, market, and a user. The elasticity, strategy, and overall end goal are 3 key factors that will assist with growth of YouTube and Instagram. They have been able to remain consistent with their image but also evolve as a company alongside the never ending world of digital media. They have proven that growth is not just about new features, however it is about building loyalty with your targeted audience that feeds in the growth of the platform.
